lyrics

Now every bed I make has a space displaced for you
You've emptied my senses
And I never knew you moved that way
Until you stayed
I was wide awake
Coiled around your waist

I see your eyes against the window, as you're gazing through the glass
God knows that divinity won’t help the hours pass
I don’t know when your reverie will fall to fate or doubt
You know so very little of the rooms inside this house

After everything that we’ve been through
All the terrifying issues
I’m far too open for anyone anyways
I’m far too miserable for anything any day
And now your hair’s in my eyes it’s like there’s nothing quite right with what’s happening

Now every step I take leads a trail unscathed for you, the perfect consensus
The anthology of all our days, adjudicates, you were mine anyway, till I forget your name

Another crack outside the window, as I fold into the sheets
Twisted and devoured by every goal I couldn’t meet
Let’s move away and travel, let’s smile away and bleed
There’s blood in every mouthful of the gristle that we eat

After everything that we’ve been through
Now I’ve taken this foreign refuge
I’m far too ignorant for anyone anyways
I’m far too passionate for ending this any way
And now there’s wonder in woe you're still anxiety prone but I’ll live with it

I see entitlement reign, I see your birth’s not in vain
Another mouth against mine, and I’m not proud but it’s fine
A gentleman’s throes, a disposition exposed
Platonic enough, until endorphins erupt
A wink and a nudge, one more discriminate grudge
The world at our feet, or maybe somewhere to eat
These decadent lands, but where’s the will or the plan
The eulogist cries, as the procession aligns
It’s funny how location and sedation will control every element
But the sentiment keeps us alive
